We are seeking an organised, proactive, and compassionate Office Manager to oversee our centre and shop administrative operations. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for non-profit work and a deep commitment to aiding individuals in overcoming addiction. 

This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a capability for fostering a welcoming and supportive office environment.

Location: Stevenage 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – job share considered

Salary:  £14.01 per hour (FTE £25,498) to £14.21 per hour (FTE £25,862)

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Manage daily office operations and provide administrative support to our staff. 

·         Manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and coordinate office activities. 

·         Oversee facilities management, including consulting with suppliers and maintenance personnel. 

·         Maintain confidential client records and administrative paperwork. 

·         Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency. 

·         Assist with office expense management. 

·         Support the team with event planning and execution. 

·         Provide initial contact for clients, ensuring a warm and professional reception. 

·         Coordinate volunteer staff and manage schedules. 

Qualifications: 

·         Proven experience as an office manager, front office manager, or administrative assistant. 

·         Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles. 

·         Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems. 

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

·         Compassionate and patient demeanour with an understanding of confidentiality obligations.
